Prophase - Chromosomes just becoming visible, nuclear
envelope still intact.
Metaphase - The chromosomes are aligned at the equator,
spindle is complete.
Anaphase - The centromeres have separated and the chromosome
halves are moving toward opposite poles of the cell.
Telophase and Cytokinesis - The chromosomes are decondensing
and the plasma membrane is pincing inward.
