Event Details

The Eastern Missouri Dark Sky Observers (EMDSO) will be holding a stargazing event at the Observatory beginning at dusk. Park under the ECC water tower and follow signs to the observatory. If cloudy or inclement weather, stargazing will be canceled. EMDSO club members will be present with their telescopes to assist attendees viewing visible solar system objects and deep sky objects.

The sky is moving to a summer constellations sky. Jupiter can be seen during the evening.  Saturn will be visible later.  Objects that can be seen are galaxies in Ursa Major, globular cluster in Bootes and Hercules, and many others.  EMDSO offers observational stargazing every 4th Saturday of the month March-October.
