Walk-ins will not be allowed to test.

A student MUST be pre-registered before the day of the test.

The candidate taking the test must sign up in person.


We do not accept phone sign-ups for the test.

 

Sign-ups for the GED test will be handled by the East Central College Student Service Center on the Union campus. The Student Service Center is located on the first floor of Buescher Hall (Administration Building).

 

Regular office hours are:

 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday

 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.

The following items will be required:

  1. $20 cash or money order. Students in MO Options Programs may provide a signed letter from their high school district, indicating that the high school will pay this fee.
  2. GED state authorization form, signed by candidate
  3. GED demographic form, completed by the candidate (not required for retakes)
  4. Candidate Responsibility Form (blue sheet included with paperwork from DESE)
  5. OPTIONS form (only for students in MO Options Programs)

 

On the day of the test, the candidate must show up by 7:45 a.m.

 

The maximum capacity for each test is 32, including retakes.

 

Two alternates may be signed up with the understanding that they are not guaranteed a test slot. If the next test date is filled, the candidate has the option of signing up for the next available test date.

 

Note to Students with Disabilities: If accommodations are needed, the candidate must contact Amy Sisk, ansisk@eastcentral.edu BH 153 or call her at 636-584-6567 before signing up for the test.

 

East Central College reserves the right to cancel an exam:

  1. If there are fewer than 10 students registered 4 working days before the test date. Students will be notified by the phone number listed on the registration sheet and will be given the opportunity to sign up for one of the next two test dates.
  2. Inclement weather please call the switchboard 636-584-6500, or visit www.eastcentral.edu.
  3. Extenuating circumstances determined by college administration.


Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, students must notify the ECC registration office at least two (2) business days prior to their scheduled test date. Provided the two day notification has been met, a student may register for and apply the $20 fee to the next available test date. If notice is not given, students who wish to test will be required to pay the $20 fee and re-register.

 

The GED test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to another student.
