East Central College Adult Education and Literacy classes are offered in several communities throughout the college district to teach basic reading, math and writing skills and help prepare people to take the GED Test. Free day and evening classes are available throughout the year.

Day Schedule
Gerald - Calvary New Life Tabernacle
140 West Industrial: Tuesday & Wednesday, 9 a.m. - noon
Sullivan - ECC Sullivan Site
11 North Clark Street: Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Union - ECC Training Center
Prairie Dell Road at U.S. Highway 50: Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Washington - Missouri Career Center
1108 Washington Square: Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Evening Schedule
Gerald - Calvary New Life Tabernacle

Pacific - Tri-County Community Senior Center
800 West Union: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
St. Clair - Alternative School Annex Building

Union - ECC Training Center

The free classes allow people to:
- Start at their own level and work at their own pace.
- Prepare for the GED® test
- Improve academic skills in reading, writing, language and math
- Transition to post-secondary education
- Increase work readiness skills
