This program is designed for those interested in nonprofit board membership. It is open to individuals interested in learning more about nonprofit board work or it can be the foundation of an existing nonprofit's new member orientation. Topics will include an overview of nonprofit organizations, the different types of boards, and the roles and responsibilities of board members. In addition we will explore Robert's Rules of Order and issues of governance. Participants will be invited to be listed according to their interests in a database of potential board members. This database is available exclusively to Nonprofit Leadership Institute member organizations.

We have found that nonprofit organizations often share similar missions and objectives; unfortunately, they do not always have an opportunity to share their experiences and lessons learned. To bridge these learning gaps we offer facilitated learning exchanges known as Executive Director Roundtables. Join your peers for these quarterly brown bag luncheon events and:
