How to Apply

for Employment at ECC

Applications for employment at East Central College main campus or satellite locations are available in the Human Resources Office or may be downloaded from this web site. Applications and supporting materials for employment should be mailed or delivered in person to the Human Resources Office on the main campus during normal college operating hours of Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Current job openings are listed on this web site which is updated weekly.


Open positions are posted for a minimum of ten days on the Human Resources bulletin board and on the web site. Human Resources and a selection committee will screen applications and select applicants for interview. Applicants will receive a letter of acknowledgement upon receipt of application. Applications and support materials will be retained for one year.


All applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and documentation of degrees if transcripts are not used.

To be considered for work-study or a student worker, please submit a student worker employment application.


To be considered for full-time, part-time or adjunct employment, all applicants must submit a completed and signed employment application. We require a cover letter and resume for all positions unless otherwise noted. College transcripts are required for all faculty position applications; photocopies are acceptable. Additional requirements and/or exceptions are listed below:


Clerical & Office Support Staff should also submit a cover letter and resume. College Transcripts and/or Certifications will be required if selected for an interview.


Custodians, Facilities, Food Service and Maintenance hourly position applicants only need to submit the employment application.


Faculty and Adjunct should also submit a cover letter, resume or curriculum vitae and copies of college transcripts for review. Art and Multimedia/Graphic Design Instructors may be required to submit a digital portfolio of their artwork for review.


Information Technology Applicants must indicate any software and hardware expertise as part of the application materials.


Professional and Administrative Staff should also submit a cover letter and resume for review; copies of college transcripts will be required if selected for an interview.
