In an effort to better support the individual needs of returning learners (students who are older than 23 and have been out of the classroom for longer than 5 years), Eilene Acheson was hired as the Director of Adult Retention with a grant from Graduate! St. Louis and the US Department of Labor.
Several programs are available including Academic Boot Camp, Adult Learning Communities, College Success Coachand the students have started a group called A Hero. Additionally, a math specialist has been funded to work specifically with adult learners.

The Graduate! St. Louis project was funded by a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration in the amount of $4.4 million. Federal dollars constitute 47% of the overall Graduate! St. Louis Project budget.
