ECC Library is here to provide the information resources and services that support the professional, educational and recreational pursuits of East Central’s faculty. In addition to friendly, helpful service we provide: course reserves, library instruction and tours, faculty research assistance, interlibrary loan, and faculty liaisons for collection development.
You may place personal or library copies of materials on reserve for student use each semester. These items are located behind the circulation desk and typically are for library use only. Reserve materials may include but are not limited to books, A/V, journal issues, articles, old exams or lecture notes. Some items may be restricted by Copyright Law, please review the Course Reserve Policy for more infomation. Accompanying form is available in the Library or electronically. Please contact Linda Hall to place items on Course Reserve.
You may arrange for a class tour of the library and/or library instruction in using the library catalog, online resources and general internet searching. Please schedule a few days in advance by calling x2245. Tours and instruction tailored to your class are also available.
If you can not find an article or the book you need here at ECC (or through MOBIUS) we can make a request using Interlibrary Loan. These items are borrowed from other libraries throughout the U.S. and may take 7 to 14 days to arrive at ECC. Please contact Linda Suda (x2250) or stop at the circulation desk for assistance.
Two full-time librarians serve as faculty liaisons for collection development. Recommendations for additions to the collection can be submitted to the faculty liaison in your
subject area.
