East Central College Theatre will kick off its 42 nd season with the area premiere of Becky Shaw, a wild comedy about a blind date gone awry!


This black comedy by Gina Gionfriddo follows the adventures of a married couple as they set up their romantically challenged friend Max on a date with a mysterious woman named Becky Shaw.  The production features ECC Theatre veterans Carol Buescher as Susan Slater, Tony Gokenbach as Max Garrett, Tara Steffens as Suzanna Porter, Chad Greife as Andrew Porter and Haley Fortune as Becky Shaw.


After a date that includes a gun, $200 and a trip to the police station, Max discovers Becky is not what she seems.  The entire family is forced to ask themselves what they owe to the people they love - or a total stranger.


Directed by Grace Austin, the production contains strong language.  “Becky Show” runs Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6 at the John Edson Anglin Performing Arts Center on the ECC campus inUnion.
