Registration for fall semester classes at East Central College is still underway. With many classes rapidly filling, it is more important than ever for students to enroll now.
Classes begin Wednesday, August 15. Leading up to that start date, ECC’s Student Service Centeron the main campus in Union, including Admissions, Advisement/Counseling, Cashier, Financial Aid, and Registration, will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday, August 10, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, August 11, enrollment services will be open to the public from 9-11 a.m.
The ECC Bookstore is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Cookies Hays, vice president of student development at ECC, reminds potential students that payment will be due the day they register in classes. "Though people can still apply for financial aid for the fall semester, they will not receive authorization prior to the start of classes," said Hays. "To hold their spot in class students can pay with cash, check or a credit card. We also have a payment plan option to spread the cost out over several months."
Hays encourages new students to complete an application for admission, which can be found online at www.eastcentral.edu under the future students tab. Freshman assessment testing is scheduled through August 14 in Union, Rolla and Sullivan. Pre-registration for testing through Admissions is necessary.
In-district students pay just $81 per credit hours for tuition and general fees. The rate for out-of-district students is $111 per credit hour. Some courses also have additional lab and technology fees.
In addition to the main campus in Union, ECC also offers classes in Rolla, Sullivan, Warrenton and Washington. For enrollment information, students can contact ECC at 636-584-6588 or admissions@eastcentral.edu .
