Bonnie Gardner, coordinator of the Expo and Health Fair, noted that this is the eighth year the college has sponsored the free event.  “Our intent is the same as it was in 2006,” said Gardner.  “We want to promote health awareness through education and prevention, and provide information to seniors about services available in the area.  Many free health screenings will be provided.”

Gardner encourages anyone 55 and older to attend and bring family members who wish to hear about community resources available to their loved ones.  Golf carts will be available to shuttle attendees to the door so even those with difficulty walking will find it easy to get to the event.
