East Central College in Rolla, in cooperation with Rolla Technical Center and Rolla Technical Institute, will host a Showcase highlighting a variety of career and technical programs on Thursday, February 28.  The event will be held at RTC from 5 to 7 p.m.

 

At the free event current high school students and their families, as well as potential adult students, can learn about the training options available in Rolla. 

 

ECC staff will have information on the college’s accounting, business administration, business management technology, culinary arts, and registered nursing  programs.  Faculty members and students from Rolla Technical Institute and Rolla Technical Center will also be available to discuss training in a variety of fields offered through those institutions including drafting, dental hygiene, EMT/paramedic, fire and rescue, the health science academy, licensed practical nursing, radiologic technology, respiratory care and surgical technology.

 

The Showcase provides an opportunity for the general public to find out more about the educational options available at ECC, RTC and RTI.  Visitors can also get information about admissions requirements, financial aid resources and employment trends.

 

The Showcase is designed for individuals to explore the opportunities available, whether coming from high school or as a returning adult learner who is between jobs or is underemployed.

 

There is no cost to attend the Showcase .  There will be refreshments and drawings for attendance prizes, including a Kindle donated by CPR-Cell Phone Repair in Rolla.
