East Central College's Economic Development Center and Center for Workforce Development are partnering to offer a three hour workshop in April on financial management for nonprofit organizations.

The workshop will be held Tuesday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Training Center on the ECC campus in Union. The session will focus on budget theory, design, planning and budgeting process as it relates to nonprofit financial systems.  Participants will review what it costs to build a program; basic financial reports and board/staff roles and responsibilities in financial management.

David Hood, business technology instructor at ECC, will lead the workshop. ECC's business department established the Economic Development Center several years ago to provide resources for current and future business owners to help them be a successful part of the community.

Fee for the morning workshop is $55 per person.  To reserve a seat call 636-239-0598 or email: .

The April event is the third offered at ECC this year for people involved with nonprofit organizations.  ECC’s Center for Workforce Development, working with the Nonprofit Services Center of St. Louis, has put together a series of seminars, workshops and networking sessions for 2013 designed to enhance and strengthen nonprofit organizations throughout the college service region.
