Registration for fall semester classes at East Central College is still underway.  To accommodate new and returning students, the college will hold special registration sessions Saturday, June 28, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the campus in Union and ECC’s main Rolla location at 500 Forum Drive in Rolla.

Student services personnel in admissions, advisement, financial aid and registration will be available to assist students.  Potential new students can also take the placement test that morning.  Staff will be on hand to assist students and families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

Cookie Hays, vice president of student development at ECC, reminds potential students who enroll in classes at the Saturday morning sessions that payment is not required that day.  "People can still apply for financial aid for the fall semester,” said Hays.  “We  also have a payment plan option so students can spread the cost out over several months."

In-district students pay just $95 per credit hour for tuition and general fees.  The rate for out-of-district students is $130 per credit hour.  Some courses also have additional lab and technology fees.

To reserve a spot at the placement test, people attending the Union event should call 636-584-6588.  Individuals planning to take the placement test in Rolla should call 573-458-0165.  Questions can also be sent to or visit the website.

Food, refreshments and door prizes will be provided during the event and those attending can also register to win an Apple iPad mini.

Fall classes begin Wednesday, August 13, at all ECC locations.
