ECC started offering college classes in the local high schools in Sullivan and Bourbon around 1980 and began leasing space at the current location, the Southwest Area Center, in 1990. The site offers general education for credit and non-credit coursework, Math and English tutoring, an Interactive Television classroom, one computer lab and Adult Education Literacy and GED coursework. The site is located in the taxing district of College and is approximately 22 miles from the main campus.
