This six-session course will guide the beginner in confidently starting their family history research while also giving the more experienced genealogist good tips for finding that "lost ancestor." Subjects will include First Steps, Software, Census makes sense, Genealogy Software, Deeds, Mapping out Where Your Ancestor Lived, and Looking for Your Ancestors on the Internet. The course is taught by experienced genealogists who are members of the Four Rivers Genealogical Society which has been in existence for over 25 years right here in Franklin County, MO.

This program is designed to prepare individuals to become a Certified Medication Technician. This program meets the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirement to take the state exam. The student must be a working CNA for 6 months. In addition to the classroom work the student will experience 8-16 hours of job shadowing with a licensed RN, LPN, or CMT and 8 hours of clinical practice. Upon completion of both classroom and clinical components, the student will be eligible to take the Missouri state exam to become a licensed CMT. This program is entirely funded by the Missouri Health Wins grant to eligible students. Students must be employed in a long-term care facility in ECC's service region.

Course Description - This one session seminar will present information on diabetes as it relates to symptoms and treatment and will teach skills in insulin administration in order to qualify students to perform this procedure in long-term care facilities in Missouri. The course consists of 4 hours of instruction and includes a written final and practicum examination under the direct supervision of an instructor. This class is for Missouri Certified Medication Technicians only.
