Explore the potential of colored pencils by learning techniques such as blending and layering of different colors and how to create interesting textures then apply these to your art. Experiment with different brands of colored pencils on a variety of surfaces - papers of different colors and values, to discover the combination that best suits your personal style. Basic colored pencil set and papers supplied, you might want to bring your own favorite colors! Ages 8 to 12.

The many things you will learn through collecting stamps, will give you a huge advantage throughout your school years. You may have a casual interest in stamps, or maybe you will be captivated by the hobby, and it will become a life-long obsession. You will get to see a fabulous local collection and get to start your own collection. All materials provided.

In this fun photography class, campers will learn the basic functions of a digital camera and how to use the different modes based on the subject and the light conditions. We will touch upon basic composition rules, finding a vantage point of view, selecting a good background for your subject and shooting from different perspectives. Then, we will go on a photo walk to practice what we have learned. We will photograph a little bit of everything: people, "things", and places. Last, but not least, we will go back to the classroom and review the images we took, identifying things that make them good and the areas that can be improved.Photography is all about experimenting, and the goal of this class will be to point the participants in the right direction. Campers will need to bring digital cameras and the camera's USB cable. Ages 8 to 12
