I spent the month of May 2001 in  Paraná, Brazil, as a member of Rotary District 6060's Group Study Exchange team.  The GSE program, administered through Rotary International, allows young professionals to visit other parts of the world as part of a cultural and professional exchange.  I've posted over 160 photos from the trip.  Let me know what you think!

I have been a faculty member at East Central College since January, 1992. I teach General Biology and Microbiology each semester, and lately I've taught Health each semester. I have been teaching Genetics each spring, and I have taught Medical Terminology and Introduction to Life Science previously. To see my (edited) resume, CLICK HERE.

I am the advisor for the Chi Delta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society for the Two Year College. I assumed the (full-time) advisorship in June, 1997, after serving as the co-advisor for the chapter for the previous two years. CLICK HERE to see the Chi Delta homepage.

I am an avid bowhunter, primarily for whitetail deer.  I've tried my luck at chasing turkeys with a bow, but have only taken one in a late fall hunt several years ago. I regularly hunt deer, turkey, squirrels, and rabbits with shotgun and rifle. I am a certified Bowhunter Education instructor through the National Bowhunter Education Federation and the Missouri Department of Conservation. I am also a Hunter Education instructor with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

I have been a life-long Cardinals fan, and have been a fan of the Blues since moving to Missouri. Each has an official web site that can be accessed by clicking on the names above, or from my links page.

I'm currently a member of Eastern Missouri Dark Sky Observers, an amateur astronomy club with members from throughout the east-central region of Missouri. The views of p/Comet Hale-Bopp comet a few years back inspired me to take pictures of other stellar objects, some of which have turned out surprisingly well! I took several pictures of Comet Hale-Bopp, Mars, and the Schmidt-Scott observatory from here at E.C.C. CLICK HERE for an index to these pictures. There are also some astronomy sites listed on my links page.

The Eastern Missouri Dark Sky Observers home page is now up and running. Changes are being made often, so check there frequently. CLICK HERE to reach EMDSO.
