Phi Theta Kappa Honors 97 East Central College Students During Fall Induction

There were 97 students inducted into the Chi Delta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society during the fall semester at East Central College in Union.

The chapter held its Fall New Member Induction Ceremony on Nov. 5. The ceremony featured a keynote address from Kevin Dixon, associate professor of Biology at ECC and PTK Chi Delta advisor for 30 years.

ECC President Dr. Jon Bauer also addressed the inductees, along with their families and supporters. The ceremony was led by co-advisors Lindsay Riegel and Leigh Kolb.

The 2025–26 PTK officers are Dalton Pealer, president; Kathryn Boehner, executive vice president; Bailey Weber, vice president of recording and finance; and Taylor James, vice president of public relations.

To be invited to join PTK, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.4 and be enrolled as a full-time student for one semester. After induction, members must maintain an overall GPA of 3.2 to remain in the honor society. Membership is open to students in all majors across the college, including those pursuing degrees or certificates.
