Beekeeping for Beginners

For the love of BEES! There is always a lot to learn, whether you are thinking about starting the adventure of beekeeping or are few years in, this class is for you. This class will have at least 6 speakers from Franklin county and areas nearby. Together they have at least 95 years of total beekeeping experience. They will discuss getting to know bees, equipment needed and site set-up, where to purchase bees and supplies, hive inspections, pest control, how site selection will change your honey production and the taste of the honey, and honey extraction and other product possibilities. There will be catalogs from equipment companies, a local store, lots of door prizes and give-a-ways. Bring a notebook.
