Eden Quispe is a textile artist and art teacher who creates in her home and classroom studio in Newton, Kansas. Her work is inspired by the children and young adults around her and reflects on textiles, domesticity, culture, and childrearing. Her work focuses on the role of mother considering her often god-like status within households regardless of time period or heritage. Cut, painted, printed, and found textiles are stitched together to reveal a female figure interacting with her home environment.

Enjoy an enchanting evening of music performed by this world-renowned group of musicians. Members of the Arianna String Quartet serve on the faculty at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Pianist Jennifer Judd will join them in performing Dvořák’s Piano Quintet.
