About the Art Gallery

HOURS

The East Central Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 8 pm, and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We are closed during all college breaks.

OBJECTIVE

As an extension of the classroom, the ECC Art Gallery enhances the education and culturally enriches the daily life of Art and Design majors, non-majors, ECC faculty and staff, and the broader community. In choosing exhibition programming for the Art Gallery, attention is paid to crafting a schedule that is diverse in media, style, and content providing students and the community with a wide range of art forms, means of visual communication, and messages.

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS

If you are a professional artist and would like to be considered for a show, please submit the following:

1. Twelve images of recent work that give an accurate indication of the quality and theme of work to be exhibited. Please provide high resolution JPEGs (300 dpi, 4″ x 6″).
2. Image list that provides the corresponding title, media, and dimensions for each image.
3. Artist’s statement.
4. Resume, including bio, exhibition record, and contact information.

The deadline for submission is Feb 8 for the following school year schedule. We consider work in all media and all subject matter. Artists are responsible for shipping their work to the gallery in sturdy, reusable boxes. East Central College will provide return shipping to the artist.
