Please join the ECC Psychology and Sociology Departments as they host a free forum for the community on Thursday, October 6.
The event will start with a memorial walk from 4:45 – 5:30 p.m. outside the Health Science Building.
After the walk, keynote speaker Maggie Menefee, executive director for A.L.I.V.E St. Louis, will discuss the history of domestic violence. She’ll dive into the last 26 years at society’s response to domestic violence and how current response attitudes continue.
Breakout sessions will follow from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and will rotate every half hour. Topics include responding to a domestic violence police call, children being exposed to violence and sexting, texting and cyberstalking.
