College Fair (September 2017)
Each year ECC hosts a college fair for our current and prospective students. Many four year institutions are on campus to speak with students about their transfer options to their respective institutions. At ECC we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our students and ensuring their success after they leave our campus. This event is open to all area schools, area prospective students and current students.
As a community service, ECC helps incoming college students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), regardless of what college they plan to attend. Workshop details and dates are available here. If a student and/or family needs assistance with the FAFSA outside of the available FAFSA Nights, we are always ready to assist them.
Placement Test Dates and Locations
If multiple students from one location are considering attending East Central College, group placement testing is a great option. Students can take the placement test, meet with Financial Aid, and register for classes — all in one day. Students can complete testing at one of our locations. Testing may also be arranged at the high school. For more testing details, please click here.
Senior Success Day (April 19, 2017)
Senior Day at ECC is designed for all high school seniors interested in attending ECC, and coincides with the state-wide ACT test date for high school juniors. Senior Success Day is designed to give students planning on attending ECC the opportunity to complete the placement test, set up financial aid, register for classes, learn student success tips, tour campus, have lunch on campus, and more!
High school Sophomores (class of 2019) and Juniors (class of 2018) attending a public or private high school, or homeschool in the ECC service region have the opportunity to take college coursework and a college experience at a reduced tuition rate. Interested students need to apply online and may need to provide ACT scores, transcripts of any previous college credit, or be required to complete a placement exam before being registered for classes.
More information is available here.
Each year we like to take the opportunity to gather and exchange ideas with our area high school and career center counselors, A+ coordinators, and principals over breakfast. We host two forums in the spring:
- ECC-Rolla – February 10, 2017 – 9:00-11:00am
- ECC-Union – February 17, 2017 – 9:00-11:00am
Seating is limited, so if you are interested in attending, please email the Admissions Office with the name of your school, attendees, and your contact information.
