From photography to drawing, from digital art to painting, from design to ceramics, ECC Art & Design Faculty inspire students and the community with their view on the world. Visit the gallery to see the world through our art faculty’s eyes.

February 6 • 6 p.m. in HH 286

This biographical film tells the story of Shirley Chisholm as she makes a trailblazing run for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination after becoming the first Black woman elected to Congress.

February 7 • 4 p.m. HH 105

Early Music Missouri presents a concert of intimate and moving French vocal music for the Lenten season. Tenebrae Lessons, sung in the final week of Lent, were heard in churches and chapels across Europe. This concert feature some of the finest Baroque Tenebrae Lessons by Marc-Antoine  Charpentier and Louis-Nicolas Clérambault sung by a trio of sopranos accompanied by period instruments.

Scott Espeseth’s works are drawings, made with ivory black watercolor on paper. Watercolor pushes back on obsessive tendencies, requiring compromises, and not lose the forest for the trees. The drawings are inspired by chance encounters with objects, spaces, or events that trigger moments of clarity, where they suddenly appear to be intensely strange, or intensely beautiful.
