Reception: November 8, 5-7 p.m.

Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society, an organization of local artists, annually presents their artworks at ECC.  Members work in a variety of media, including pastels, graphite, watercolor, oil paint, photography, and ceramics. The Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society began in 1974 to promote and  contribute to the interest in fine arts.

The kick-off event of the International Education Week activities is a Saturday festival that is free, family friendly, and open to the public. Highlights of the festival include cultural dance performances, a display of traditional attire from around the world and, country booths where attendees can explore cultures from around the world through crafts, food, games, puzzles, storytelling, and displays of artifacts and clothing.

In a disputed territory between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a painter invites four women into her studio—a politician, an Olympic-hopeful athlete, a domestic violence activist, and a woman who disarms land mines for a living. Through intimate conversations, each woman shares their personal hardships, as well as their imaginations, desires and dreams for the future.
