Megan van bibber

Congratulations to Megan VanBibber, our November Faculty of the Month. Megan is the clinical coordinator and instructor for the surgical technology program at ECC.  She has worked for ECC for three years and has become a valued faculty member in the Health Sciences Division and the Rolla Campus.

 Megan worked in the Surg Tech program with RTC since 2014 before transitioning to ECC. She teaches a variety of classes in the program, including Introduction to Surgical Techniques, Medical Surgical Terminology, and Professional Practices. She recently completed a Masters’ Degree in Health Professions Education at CMU. She is proud of her family and has three children. On the weekends you can find her baking sourdough bread, reading, and spending time with her family. Her favorite snacks are Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos and Vanilla Coke.

Her co-workers nominated Megan because of her consistent, quiet excellence in which she approaches her work and responsibilities. She stands out not because she seeks recognition but because of her diligence, hard work, and professionalism. She is someone who truly cares about her work, students, and colleagues. Her positivity influences everyone around her, especially her students. Megan comments that she feels honored anytime a student thanks her for helping them achieve their goals. She believes it is one of the highest compliments one can receive.
