Engineering Club

Are you interested in Engineering, Science, Technology but aren’t sure what degree to pursue? Are you ready to start building experiences that will help you get that scholarship, internship, or job? Do you like to learn about cool technology and see it in action?

Then this is the club for you.  The Engineering Club is a great way to network with your peers and STEM professionals. We travel to some interesting places too!

Requirements:  NONE – Absolutely anyone is welcome to join. Join our Canvas page at https://eastcentralcollege.instructure.com/enroll/R8LMYR to enroll and let us know you are interested.

Activities: Each semester we take a fun filled trip to see an interesting technological facility.  Past trips include Boeing, Bastion Solutions Calloway Nuclear Plant, Six Flags Engineering tour, Harley Davidson plant, Fermi Lab Particle Accelerator, Oakridge National Labs, Indy 500 Motor Speedway, Argonne National Laboratory…

Volunteer at fun campus events like Math and Science Night, Academic Challenge, Falcon Fest to build your networking skills and resume.

Fund Raising:  In order to make these amazing trips free, we have several fundraising events a semester. Each student must donate a small amount of their time and supplies twice a semester to participate for free.  We have held pulled pork fundraisers, concessions at Theater events, and others.

Meetings: We hold our meetings every two weeks. Check out the Canvas page and HS 118 for details. Hope to see you there!

Questions: Contact the club advisors: Alison Tucker and Dr. Kellogg.
