History, Political Science & Geography


The disciplines History, Political Science, and Geography explore the decisions and actions of people in history, government, and the globe. By choosing these disciplines of studying, students will learn to think critically through the rigorous analysis of a variety of sources. Students also learn how to communicate through written language, evaluate sources, and organize multiple streams of information. The department offers classes in Unites States History, World History, and European History. It also offers several courses in Political Science, including U.S. Government, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Introduction to Political Science. Students pursuing a course of study in Political Science and History will find multiple career opportunities, including law, government, and education.

History and Political Science classes also fulfill a state-mandated constitution competency requirement.
