Excited to learn another language? Try American Sign Language! This class will cover an overview of ASL, its basic vocabulary, structure, syntax and grammar. Students will focus on grasping the concept of finger spelling, numbers, colors, facial grammar and sentence structure; also they will learn conversational/cultural behaviors to hold a basic conversation in ASL with deaf/hard-of-hearing users of the language. You will gain knowledge about the deaf culture, providing you with a broad perspective of the language as a whole.
