Junior Welding (3) – CLASS IS FULL

Have you heard about welding? Are you interested in the endless possibilities that you can do with it? Here’s your chance to learn about welding and obtain these hands-on welding skills. You will be observing demonstrations, learning safety and welding in a state of the art welding lab, with the ECC Welding instructor. (Ages 13-18)

Gain the skills needed in today’s workplace or use at home!

Participant will need to wear a pair of ankle-high lace-up boots and blue jeans.
*Registration includes welding jacket, gloves and helmet/face guard will be provided, if you do not already have them.

How to Be an  Entrepreneur – CLASS IS FULL

This class will teach you how to take an idea and turn it into a profitable business that any young adult could do.  Students will create a business to sell items at the college.  This will include how to market and finance the business, produce the products and selling the product.  The last part of the class will look at what students have learned and how they can take their ideas and put them into a business plan. Ages 10-14.

American Sign Language (1) – CLASS IS FULL

Students will learn about the Deaf Culture and the basics of American Sign Language. Students will practice signs and facial expressions to help communicate. Students will be able to communicate with a deaf person. Ages 5-8.

Career Exploration Using Virtual Reality (4) – CLASS IS FULL

Students will learn about several career choices through discussion and the use of Virtual Reality headsets. These headsets have several choices of realistic trainings loaded including, but not limited to taking blood pressure, fixing an airplane, changing the oil in your car and electrical wiring.  Ages 12-16.

ECC Youth Theatre Troupe – CLASS IS FULL

Students will spend time participating in acting games, improvisation, and an introduction to the rehearsal process. The focus will be on helping students get comfortable performing on stage as well as exploring characterization. Students will also learn stage directions and memorization techniques. The student’s work will be showcased in a student production on Friday, August 4. Students will be showcasing their talents! This production will be free to the public. Ages 8 – 12 years

International Patterns

Students will learn about the many patterns used in Islamic, Asian, and Celtic decorative art. They will design their own project. You will study history and cultures, Mathematics of symmetry, pattern-making, 2-D design fundamentals, use of color, and decorative media. Ages 9 – 18.

Meet Weston Little Hoof – Mini Horse – CLASS IS FULL

Students will be able to be up-close and in-person with a gentle mini-horse. Students may be able to lift his feet, brush him and learn a lot about horses. Parents are encouraged to stay with the students. Ages 5-8.

Please do not bring children not registered and in the class. This includes siblings of children already enrolled in the class.

ECC Teen Theatre Troupe – CLASS IS FULL

This camp will focus on students incorporating themselves into the rehearsal process. Students will participate in a 2-week rehearsal process for a one-act performance, on Friday, August 11. Students will also engage in improvisation/acting games that focus on characterization/character analysis, vocal projection, memorization, and stage movement. Students will also learn the basics of backstage theatre by helping to acquire the props and set for the production’s rehearsal process. This production will be free to the public. Ages 13 – 18 years
