In this Pre-Algebra Bridge description, get to know more about the course and the Learning Center Specialist facilitating the upcoming summer section.

Summer Pre-Algebra (MTH 030) Bridge

The Summer Pre-Algebra Bridge course will review basic concepts in mathematics that will be required for students to succeed in college mathematics courses.

In this course, students will follow a self-paced sequence of five modules that cover various topics, including integers, fractions, decimals, ratios and proportions, and basic geometry concepts.

As students progress, course facilitators monitor progress. If tutoring is desired, both in-person and online options will be available. The course culminates with students taking the Accuplacer placement test.

Learning Center Specialist – Math and Science

Having worked in developmental math education for over thirty years, I consider it a privilege to be facilitating the summer Mathematics Bridge programs. To see students succeed to levels that they did not think themselves capable of achieving is one of the greatest rewards of being an educator.

The summer Mathematics Bridge gives students the unique opportunity to succeed where many of them feel that they cannot succeed.
