HAM Radio General License

The General Class license is the 2nd of the three US Amateur Radio Licenses. You must already hold a Technician Class license or have recently passed the Technician license exam. Once you upgrade to the General license, the entire range of operating modes and the majority of the amateur spectrum below 30 MHz become available to you. The topics covered in this class will include but not be limited to procedures and practices, rules and regulations, components and circuits, radio signals and equipment, and electrical and RF safety.

Prerequisite: Technician License.

Class Information:

  • January 20 – March 31, 2022 (No class March 17)
  • Thursdays, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, 10 weeks
  • BIC 129 and via Zoom
  • COST: $60 (includes registration and book, if registration is received before January 12)
