The Tiny World Around and Inside You

In this class, you will get a chance to see your own cells, grow and look at bacteria from your mouth and hands, and see if we can find bacteria on surfaces in the building. Students will learn to use microscopes, learn about microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, and other) and have a chance to use scientific equipment, including growing bacteria on solid media and making your own slides and looking at them under the microscope. (Ages 10-14)

*Students must wear fully-enclosed shoes (no sandals or clogs) and pants that cover their whole leg (no crop pants or shorts).
