Open Fitness Center-ECC (Fall 2024)

The Fitness Center is 2,800 square feet of state-of-the-art equipment. Access to ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and weight machines is included. We have over 20 pieces of cardio equipment and an assortment of weight training stations. Come take advantage of the the Fitness Center located on the main campus of East Central College.

In this Stick Welding (SMAW) course participants will learn welding safety, SMAW processes, equipment setup and proper welding techniques. This class is designed for beginners and those who want to take their skills to the next level. Upon completion, students will be familiar with safety, equipment, equipment set up and proper welding techniques.

Swing Dance 2 (Fall 2024)

Embrace the vibrant energy of swing dancing in our beginner-friendly class! Whether you’re looking to add some groove to your step or simply want to try something new, this class is perfect for newcomers to the world of swing.

Our instructor will guide you through the basics of footwork, timing, and partner connection, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable on the dance floor. Comfortable, supportive shoes are recommended to help you stay light on your feet and enjoy the dance experience to the fullest.

No prior dance experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to move!  Get ready to swing, spin, and have a blast—join us for a rhythm-filled adventure and discover the joy of swing dancing!

Line Dance 2 (Fall 2024)

Get ready to kick up your heels and groove to the beat in our beginner-friendly Line Dancing class! Perfect for those new to the dance floor or anyone looking to add a bit of rhythm to their routine, this class is designed to get you moving and having fun with ease.

You’ll learn the basic steps and patterns of popular line dances, from classic favorites to contemporary hits. Our friendly instructor will guide you through each step, ensuring you build a solid foundation and gain confidence in your dancing abilities.

No dance experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to have a good time! Comfortable, supportive shoes are recommended to help you stay light on your feet and dance with ease.

Join us for a fun-filled class that will get you moving, laughing, and dancing with flair. Line dancing is a great way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy the joy of rhythm and movement!

Course Description:

  • This course provides a basic introduction to Lean Methodology, focusing on its core principles of waste, reduction, creating value, and respect for people. Participants will learn how these principles drive efficiency and value creation across various contexts. The course explores approaches to foster a problem-solving culture. Emphasizing a customer-centric approach, the curriculum delves into concepts of value, waste, and equipping learners with the skill to implement Lean practices effectively.

  • Participants will explore how Lean principles address critical business problems such as inefficient processes, safety and customer satisfaction. Lean helps organizations steamline processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver greater value.
