Study groups for specific courses have long been considered best practices for supporting student learning. It supports the Guided Pathways pillar “Help Students Stay on Their Path.” We will share our outcomes on the Peer Assisted Learning (Supplemental Instruction) and Embedded Tutoring group sessions at East Central College.

Advertisements for the Online Writing Center (OWC) In this presentation we will show that, the more the OWC is encouraged (or required) by instructors in courses, the higher grades of their students. The end-goal is to encourage instructors (and their students) to use this resource even more. The Online Writing Center continues to help course success rates, and we believe that with even more use, we will see even stronger institutional outcomes. |

Prerequisite Knowledge and Success in Human Anatomy and Physiology I This presentation summarizes recent efforts to assess whether A&P students’ success is influenced by knowledge gained from their prerequisite biology and chemistry courses.
