Clay Throwing on the Wheel

Students will focus on beginner friendly throwing methods and learn a basic understanding of the fundamentals of creating round ceramic forms. Students will explore different decorative techniques such as carving, glaze choice, handles, and shape to create their own ceramic masterpieces. (Ages 14-18)

Animal Portraiture 

Students will learn the fundamentals and basics of drawing realistic animal portraits using just colored pencils. You will learn shading, the process of drawing fur, and color theory. You will also learn to apply a detailed understanding of animal anatomy and proportions to make your drawings as lifelike as possible. Students will need to bring a high quality printed photo of their favorite animal. Ages 12-18.

Short Stories with Aurelia

This class will focus on reading short fiction, from Edgar Allan Poe to Ray Bradbury and more. Students will read stories and discuss them like in a real college course. The class will also include discussions about the genre of short story writing, and students will have the opportunity to write a short story of their own within the science fiction genre. (Ages 12-18)

The Tiny World Around and Inside You

In this class, you will get a chance to see your own cells, grow and look at bacteria from your mouth and hands, and make paintings using bacteria. Students will learn to use microscopes, learn about microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, and other) and have a chance to use scientific equipment, including growing bacteria on solid media and making your own slides and looking at them under the microscope. (Ages 10-14)

*Students must wear fully-enclosed shoes (no sandals or clogs) and pants that cover their whole leg (no crop pants or shorts).

How It’s Really Made 2

Welcome to an exciting journey into the world of CNC machining, specially designed for young enthusiasts! In this engaging class, children will discover the fascinating realm of computer-controlled manufacturing with the guidance of Titans of CNC tutorials and East Central instructors. Through interactive and hands-on activities, budding engineers and creators will explore the fundamentals of CNC machining in a fun and accessible way. From understanding the basics of computer programming to witnessing the transformation of raw materials into custom-designed creations, kids will be inspired to unleash their creativity and problem-solving skills. 

This class offers a unique opportunity for young minds to dive into the world of advanced manufacturing, sparking curiosity and igniting a passion for innovation. To see an example of some of the projects Feel free to check out  TITAN-KIDS | TITANS of CNC: Academy. (Ages 15 – 18)

Students should wear jeans, closed toe shoes, and no loose clothing or jewelry. Long hair should be pulled back.

Improve your Improv 2

Lots of laughter! Explorations in improvisational comedy by using: theater games including acting out quick scenes, creatively inventing new uses for odd objects, movement, expression, playing off other people and timing. Laughter and fun are our goals! Ages 9-12.

Pediatric First Aid CPR for Babysitter 2

The Pediatric Heartsaver CPR and First Aid course will prepare students to provide emergency care for the following: CPR for infants and children, choking for infants and children, and first aid for trauma and medical issues that might arise when babysitting. This is an instructor-driven course with video and hands-on learning. Students will also perform skill check-offs. Students will be provided a workbook and receive a course completion card that can be printed. Cards are good for 2 years.  (Ages 12 – 17)

Drumming from the Inside Out Leadership Class. This class is for those seeking to build leadership, confidence, and social skills and to have a lot of fun doing it. No drumming experience needed. You will use drums for health and wellness exercises to increase confidence and self-awareness, along with strategic leadership mapping we will identify goals or dreams while creating a plan of action to complete.  Ages 8-12.
