Upcoming Visits and Events

Franklin County Regional College Fair (September 2018)

Each year ECC hosts a college fair for our current and prospective students. Many four year institutions are on campus to speak with students about their transfer options to their respective institutions. At ECC we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our students and ensuring their success after they leave our campus. This event is open to all area schools, area prospective students and current students.

FAFSA Workshops

As a community service, ECC helps incoming college students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), regardless of what college they plan to attend. Workshop details and dates are available here. If a student and/or family needs assistance with the FAFSA outside of the available FAFSA Nights, we are always ready to assist them. We are always available to assist you with your high school Financial Aid Night’s as well, just let us know when you are planning on hosting the event and we will be there to assist.

Placement Test Dates and Locations

If multiple students from one location are considering attending East Central College, group placement testing is a great option. Students can take the placement test, meet with Financial Aid, and register for classes — all in one day. Students can complete testing at one of our locations. Testing may also be arranged at the high school. For more testing details, please click here.

Summer Scholars

High school Sophomores and Juniors attending a public or private high school, or homeschool in the ECC service region have the opportunity to take college coursework and a college experience at a reduced tuition rate. Interested students need to apply online and may need to provide ACT scores, transcripts of any previous college credit, and/or be required to complete a placement exam before being registered for classes. More information is available here.

2018 Counselor Breakfasts

Each year we like to take the opportunity to gather and exchange ideas with our area high school and career center counselors, A+ coordinators, and principals over breakfast. We host two forums in the spring:

  • ECC-Union – February 9, 2018
  • ECC-Rolla – February 16, 2018

We offer many special topic presentations and workshops for schools, ranging from access and disability services and how they transition from the high school to college, preparing for college, mobile enrollment, and much more! If you have any questions, or would like more information about these events or anything else, please feel free to contact us:
