Summer Three for Free
East Central College invites students who are entering their senior or junior year of high school or home school, and reside within ECC’s service area, to take one course tuition-free during the June through July summer session.

This opportunity is available for the Class of 2021 and Class of 2022 only.
Students graduating in 2020 are eligible for other types of financial aid by completing the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFSA). A+ students should reach out to the Financial Aid Office for additional requirements and documentation.

Q. Can I only take a three credit hour class tuition free?
A. You are allowed to take any course tuition free. Most ECC courses are between one and five credit hours.
Q. Can I take an online course?
A. Yes. Students are allowed to enroll in courses that occur online and at our campuses in Union and Rolla.
Q. What is my last day to register for classes?
A. You must enroll before courses begin in June.
Q. How much do general fees cost?
A. You can anticipate paying $27 per credit hour. If you take a three credit hour class, this would cost you $81.
Q. How much do course fees cost?
A. Fees vary per course, but you can expect to pay between $10 – $30 per course. If you enroll in an online course, there is a $45 course fee.
Q. How much do textbooks cost?
A. Textbook costs vary per course. You can price check your textbook by visiting our bookstore.
Q. If I want to take more than one class, how much would the additional class cost?
A. The tuition cost per credit hour would be $53, and you would be responsible for the fees mentioned above.
Q. Will the class I take count towards high school graduation requirements?
A. You will earn college credit but may or may not gain high school credit for dual enrollment courses. You will need to visit with your high school counselor for clarification.
